Philippines tops 2017 world beauty queen crowns list




With 18 crowns, the Philippines is the country with the most beauty queens crowned in an international competition in 2017. The country topped the list of crowns given by traditional and non-traditional beauty pageants for unmarried women, married women, teenagers and models. 

Miss Earth 2017 Karen Ibasco leads the list of 18 Filipino international beauty pageant winners in 2017 out of the 157 beauty queens listed by Conan Daily. She was crowned in her home country on November 4, 2017.

Next to the Philippines in the list were Thailand and the United States, both ranking second with seven crowns each. India and Vietnam ranked third with six crowns each while the fourth spot belonged to the countries with five crowns each namely South Africa, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Ukraine and Malaysia and the fifth spot belonged to Mexico with four crowns.

The first Filipino beauty queens to be crowned in 2017 were Mrs. Classic Galaxy 2017 Mary Rose Salubre and Mrs. Grandma Universe 2017 Agnes Jakosalem. They both won in Bulgaria on January 21, 2017.

In May 2017, two Filipino beauty queens were crowned, namely Miss Culture World Heritage 2017 Rizza Paula Infante, who won in her home country, and Miss Pacific World 2017 Beatrice Andrada, who won in Peru. On August 12, 2017, Miss Asian Global 2017 Trisha Bantigue was crowned in the United States.

In September 2017, two Filipino beauty queens were crowned. Miss Nature Intercontinental 2017 Sara Christine Bona won in Poland while Miss Teen International 2017 Kathleen Paton won in Thailand.

Six crowns were given to Philippine candidates in October 2017. Miss Young of the World 2017 Simone Amorado won in Panama, Miss Progress International 2017 Jedaver Opingo won in Italy and Miss Globe International 2017 Toni Alyessa Hipolito was appointed in Turkey and Miss Teen World Tourism 2017 Diosem Llyed Budios  won in Japan while Miss Global Youth Ambassador 2017 Sahara Wagner and Mrs. Tourism International Risa Caldoza won in their home country.

On November 3, 2017, Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 Teresita Ssen Marquez became the first Asian winner of the beauty pageant in Bolivia. A few weeks later, Miss Top of the World Plus Size 2017 Jodel Mesina won in Singapore and Miss Asia Global 2017 Mary Eve Adeline Escoto won in India.

Finally, Miss Tourism International 2017 Jannie Loudette Alipo-on was the last Philippine beauty queen to be crowned in 2017. She won in Malaysia on December 6, 2017.

Miss Universe Mongolia 2019 is Gunzaya Bat-Erdene

Anh Bayar, Gunzaya Bat-Erdene Gunzaya Bat-Erdene, 24, will represent Mongolia in Miss Universe 2019. She is the second woman to represent the country in the international beauty pageant run by the Miss Universe Organization, which is currently owned by the WME/IMG talent agency. Born on September 15, 1995, Gunzaya hails from Ulanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia. The city is home to the Winter Palace of the Bogd Khan, the International Intellectual Museum, the Gandan Khiid, the Sükhbaatar Square, the Tasgany Ovoo, the Badma Ega Datsan, the Centre of Shaman Eternal Heavenly Sophistication, the Dashchoilon Khiid and the Chinggis Khan Waxworks Museum.
